Christmas Wreath drawing

For four days we have been working on four challenges I have worked on a wreath design, the reindeer was just for fun I had nothing to do at that moment so I searched up reindeer drawing and did that one I have done two wreaths. And a deer hope you like them.

  

Cooking fire maps

COOKING, FIRE, MAPS 

Today we had three rotations Cooking, making a fire set and look at maps. The first thing that the xtreme team did was cooking, we had done the planning first so we got do it first first we make the bananas to make them is at the bottom we made the bananas first and another group did the potatoes first we did not cut out the top Ava and Mrs begley did it we put marshmallow into it and chocolate then tinfoil. Then the potatoes cut halfway through then cut like a square but do not pull it out then we got to put ham and cheese then the tinfoil. After we did the maps the maps was the hardest because calin had the map and he stayed at a location where it said that there was a clue we stayed there for like 10 minutes then he finally gave up we found four clues. After time was up Ollie came and got us to tell us to come back. Finally we did the fire making we were the last group to have a chance to set up a fire and do the flint and steel we did an alright fire we did not do a real fire because of safety.

For two weeks I have worked on my fabulous finish we have been doing this for four terms this year this is my last couple of days in whetu so I want to make them count to get on with it. I have done ghost drawing I have included the shoes that he stole and a basketball because he played basketball and I play basketball. This year is one of the best years that I have had at Ngatea primary school the bad thing is that I am almost in collage and I am scared :( I will always miss Ngatea Primary School.

To start off if you are flying over the New zealand bush and your plane gets hijacked by terrorists trying to make a name  for themselves. (but there is not a lot of attacks in NZ) You get a parachute and jump fly into and tree and get a big cut on your arm and bleeding. To stop a blood wound put pressure on it if it is a small one put your finger over it and wait a few minutes a big cut rip your shirt your into a square if possible then wrap it around then tie a knot a strong knot. 

To get to the point.

FIRE

To start a fire it needs to be somewhere where it won't make a forest fire and where the wind won't blow it out it the ground is soft grab two logs first log is going in the ground so point it down then start hitting it till it is kind of half way then again. find some dry bark and You will need tinder, kindling, and logs. Grab a small ish stick make sure it is strong then put two logs one on the left and right then little ones in the middle put the tinder between the two logs and go back and forth with your hands. 

WATER

To find water you would look for plants and animal tracks they will always know where water is because they have lived in that area that you are in. And swarming insects when you pause to rest Bring and filter, is a good idea. Running water is better than still water because the bugs are moving in still water they will stay and more and more will come from the running water downstream is where the ocean will be.

FIRST AID

For first aid if you are bleeding put pressure on the wound to stop it after a few 10-15 minutes take your hand away when you are putting pressure on and blood is still coming put it down harder.

If it is a big cut rip your shirt up into a square then wrap it around it tight

To build a shelter you would need a strong base like a cave or a fallen tree for a fallen tree grab some logs and put it against it and for a cave try to make a door with small logs and rope there is hundred of more shelters and I can't tell you all of them because it would take to long and I have a deadline.

With my team and I we have made a shelter that can be used in a life or  death situation. The hardest pit was again working as a team the easiest was putting the rope in the holes on the side of the tarp we used 4 rocks, 1 tarp, 1 rope and the entry of the max'in maze structure. People should always know how to tie one little know at least. The wind was a pain and it kept on blowing the rocks off the tarp and the rocks were very light. The angle that it is on will help it let the wind go over because of its form the wind will go straet off it and the person inside will be alright for the night. The biggest fear you would have in New Zealand is mosquito or the water. (flash floods) We kind of worked as a team I would give team kowhai a 3 out of 5 because we need to get rid of or difference and work as a team. What worked well was the rope getting it to stay and not move. Hunters will use shelters like this, hunters will maybe make a bigger one so they could fit there gear and there friends that are going with them they might even buy a tent or a sleeping bag instead of spending a long time making shelter.

I have made a front and back of the book that we are reading Ghost based on a basketball player tying with there best runner and almost getting shot at a young age. After becoming one of the best runners at that city

I have made rocks, I have made them with lego and I have done a underwater scene with seaweed and rocks The hardest was to make the lego pieces to stay because I had used a one way block as my base so I had pieces that was holding on to one block.

Today we have made a one person tent with my group Mia, Calin, Bella, Payton and I. The most challenge we had to face was working as a team, We loved the tent building and working as a team. The best thing about camping is marshmallows and camping in a unknown area with your friends away from wifi and noisy neighbors. And going hiking while camping

Mia	We can use it for gathering food in it.	You use the tent in the NZ Bush.	It is good when you are sleeping or eating when it is raining it won’t wet you.
Bella	We can use it for shelter.
Calin	We can use this tent for sleeping	You can use it however if you are tired and it is really sunny.	You can use the blue tent for if it started to rain.
Peyton	I like the thing And it is safe and too hot.	The hardest part was getting it out of the bag.	The funniest thing was making the Tent
Jesse	You should always have a source of shelter in you car like a tarp and rope.	The hardest was working as a team and listing to others	The most fun thing was making it and going inside.

SHELTER BUILDING

The best place to build a shelter is in between two trees or under a tree because, the tree will brevide a strong structure for you Then you could find some big tree branches to put on the log. A shelter needs to protect you from mosquitoes, because they can transmit viruses through biting you, and rain because you body temperature if you body is not warm it makes you sick. And wind if you don't have good sleep you will also be sick. You could use sticks logs leafs and your hands to make a shelter. You would need to sleep in the most reliable spot in the tent and put leafs as a mattress and put dirt around the sticks or stones to support the structure.

The Scientific name: Metrosideros excelsa

 Metrosideros excelsa, with common names pōhutukawa, New Zealand pohutukawa, New Zealand Christmas tree, New Zealand Christmas bush, and iron tree, is a coastal evergreen tree in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae,that produces a brilliant display of red flowers made up of a mass of stamens

How to plant a Pohutukawa tree 

 1. Choose a site that receives direct sunlight each day and is not crowded by other trees and vegetation. Plant the tree far away from buildings and pipes because the roots have been known to cause severe damage to homes and foundations.

2. Dig a hole 3 inches wider and deeper than the root ball of the pohutukawa tree. Fill the bottom 3 inches of the hole with soil, and water it until moist. Place the root ball into the hole and fill in the surrounding areas with soil.

3. 

Cover a 3-foot radius around the trunk of the tree with cedar mulch to retain moisture and prevent the growth of weeds. Water the tree until the soil is soaked.

4. Water the tree once every two or three days in the first growing season. This will help the tree remain strong and establish itself faster. 

5. Fertilize the tree by spreading a handful of bone meal and blood meal around the base of the tree in the spring.

6. Prune back any damaged or diseased branches as they appear, and discard them to prevent the spread of disease to the rest of the tree. Prune back growth during the winter to shape the tree and give it a bushier appearance.

Tips

• Pohutukawa trees tolerate many soil types as long as the drainage is good. If the drainage of the soil is poor, mix sand into the topsoil before planting. Mix a few handfuls of bone meal and blood meal fertilizer as well as rich compost into the soil.
• Pohutukawa trees are best planted in large rural lots far away from buildings and other structures -- not in urban areas.

This week I have done chapter Research for my chapter chat. I have done a past week activity shoe brands Nike, Puma, Gucci, Under Armour, New balance and Adidas. The hardest was the Gucci logo. The easiest was Adidas logo. The not so easy and hard was the info.

Fun fact did you know that the has 5 different names reef knot has Reef knot, Square knot, Hercules knot, Double knot,brother hood knot and it is related to the Granny knot the shoelace knot  Thief knot, Surgeon's knot, Grief knot. The hardest bit was remembering everything. The easiest was learning how to do it. 

Cc week 2 Creation station

This week I have been working on my Chapter Chat creation station with Castles shoes old and new. And with what will help him run and not and what is safe and not safe. Bad shoes: These shoes are not safe because they are falling apart and could cause Castle to trip and hurt himself. They also have no support for his foot and ankle when he is running. These shoes are too small which is bad for his feet, the laces are old and rotting. Good shoes: the grips on the sole will help castle run on the track. They look smart, now castle won't get teased. They have good laces and they won't come loose. They are the right size, ahd give him good support. He should be able to run faster.

This is my Calendar art that I have been working on for a few days I have done a under water scene. I have been enjoying to create under water scenes because I get to practice my drawing on animals and landmarks. I have not liked about it is the water quality the hardest thing was the shark on the right. esatiest was the rocks.

 

This week I have been working on Chapter chat. We are reading a new book ghost his real name is castle he choose to have ghost as his nickname  I did't really get the hand and head so it looks funny. I have had some laughs about the head hands and how they look and how I have placed them :P. Always love doing Chapter chat using computers and pencils.

I have found out about my family history going to Rotorua that there is a mountain named after my great great grandfather for cutting down trees and taking them to cutting up and then to where they made up the railways. And that we have a waka and a tribe Ngāi Te Rangi, and waka Mataatua And where my father grew up and where he first court a trout. 3 Weeks ago we came 5th in Whakatane we came to Rotorua very early so we had burger king as soon as I opened my door I slammed it because of the smell of the burning sulfur in the mud pools all around. In the olden day the maori I finally got over the smell. When we got to hockey (The backyard inn) everyone was in the pool so I went to my room I was in a room with Billy, Ollie, Troy and I we stayed in the pool for 10 minutes or 15 I don't know then the girls hopped in we fell back then we got changed and had dinner can't remember what was for dinner sadly. We stayed up around about 11 12 ish. The room above of us was really squeaky and the people above was Ollie's Mum and there family.  We had made a mistake staying up to late. We had cereal and toast for breakfast with fruits. Driving to hockey was not a long drive only the 5 minutes or so we won our first game 1-nil after I had up and go and a protein bar (protein 33)
next game we tied and the game after that and the game after that. For dinner we had butter chicken that was so yum. Breakfast we had the same going to hockey we had a stop at a shop and got some stuff.  I do not remember what we came in our first game of day two but our second game we lost 2-nil. Our name was Team kowhai, in the end we came 5th like in Whakatane we came 5th first hockey reps time was a good one we did not come last we came 5th out of 10 teams. After we had ten pin bowling I got 96 that was really good hayden came first in our game. Then we went to our hotel and stay there we went to mini golf then the rotorua luge and did five time each we all loved it then we went to tin pin bowling with st john workers and then partners there was 4 kids Thomas, this brother Makayla and I then we had itayen with so much stuff inside at our table we had 16 people so much food to choose from and the food was massage then we went back to our hotel and went to sleep the next morning I had a protein bar for breakfast cause I ways to lazy to get a good breakfast then the trip home was a quiet one I fell asleep like always on long drives. Then went home and then went on ps4 and played hitman 2. That was my holiday at rotorua 

This 6 days I have been working on a book cover for dog days Jeff Kinney in the mindle on the right side I have done a remake of dog days on the left is the real one by Jeff kinney, I always love to do challenges on computers somthing that anyoud me was that my computer is getting pretty slow but it is alright I can still use it. I have also done new name for books Days of the wimpy kid and 3 diary of the wimpy kid secrets you should know.

Fablous Finish

This week it has been the last week of school Alexander and I have done Stanley and Zero we thoguht to big and did two and that made us two days behind of what we should of had it done by. we have made Zero with flaps and Stanley with it next to him. This week has been fun with the chagglne of making the flaps stay in one place. Last week of school.

This week I have done the treasure chest activity it has been fun putting real gems in there. I have had so much fun doing it a making a real life model of a treasure chest and the pink one is my Nana and she said she bought it for around about 460 dollars that is alot of money to bring to school :P.

This week I have done digital design I had fun making it test my skills  and others, the hardest was the roses like hard hard, the easiest was the make up. My favourite was the snake one and the ones with toxic logos that is why I choose them.  

This week I have done two activity's a way with words and digital design, I have done both letters bad one with blood and the good one with nice paper it was fun using ideas to make one big one

Travis is a middle-aged teen with a job at a repair shop he likes fixing cars and helping people one day he would like to open a repair shop of his own he likes fixing anything and he likes staying and helping his mum and Ally and collecting money. He dislikes reading and writing like Ally and bullies like Shay.

These are my two digital designs.
It is sad how Ally cant read and write but when there is darkness there is all ways hope for good times. The hardest bit was all the small lines. And the fun stuff was making them and like change it around and use new ideas.

Totara Springs Camp

Camp is so close and it going to be so fun and what I am wanting to do is abseiling and going down because it would help some people to get over their fear of heights. And rock climbing but one of the things that I want to see is the cabins and how they are because I have seen Makayla's cabin. And I wonder what our cabins will be like. And I am Nervous about what we would be doing and is there is going to be a fight like at Lake Taupo. I am most looking forward to is archery and seeing who can get dead r center.

This is Dad talking to Bill Wiltshire about the red-necked phalarope and the building of Pacific keys. And hopefully they can keep their land. And the birds can make a new type of bird.
